Visit the National Careers Service website where you will find:

  • Explore Careers – this tool will allow you to search and browse over 800 job profiles with key information on what these jobs involve and what it takes to do them.
  • Find a course – a tool to help you find a course and improve your skills.
  • Skills assessments – these allow you to find out what careers might suit you based on your existing skills.
  • A range of articles on careers advice from making career choices, getting a job and progressing your career. 

The National Careers Service run the Get Exam Results Careers Advice in August where expert advisers are available to support young people with their options once they receive their exam results. You can contact the helpline by calling the usual helpline number 0800 100 900 or visit the website where you can chat to an adviser via webchat.

 

Top tips

The National Careers Service is delivered via three channels – face to face in community settings, telephone and webchat, and the National Careers Service website which gives customers 24/7 access to information and advice. Young people aged 13+ can also access telephone and webchat, to supplement careers information advice and guidance provision in their school or college.
